Opening Day

At 3:05 p.m. in Cleveland, Ohio, Kelly Johnson will step into the batter's box to receive the first pitch of the Toronto Blue Jays 2012 regular season. Baseball is in the air. The promise of Spring training still lingers in the hearts of fans. 

Several months ago I watched Field of Dreams for the first time. We sat on our couch with the lights off. It was a good thing too! When Ray meets his Dad and asks, "Hey Dad, wanna have a catch?" something must have lodged in the corners of my eyes. I'm less certain how to explain the quiver in my chest.
