The Man in the Rockefeller Suit

His is a story of many stories. Christopher Chichester. Christopher Crowe. Clark Rockefeller. Chip Smith. Each name another act in the life of Christopher Gerhartsreiter.

His adult life was a 30 year confidence scheme. Among other fantastic details (and I truly mean fantastic), Gerhartsreiter played the part of European royalty, a Wall Street executive, an art collector, a producer of Alfred Hitchcock remakes, and a member of one of America's wealthiest families, the Rockefellers. Gerharsreiter was so convincing in his masquerade that he met and married the intelligent Sandra Boss, a Harvard M.B.A., as Clark Rockefeller.

Gerharsreiter and his trail of lies began to unravel in 2008. Gerharsreiter abducted his daughter, whom he had with Boss, but was caught after a five-day chase from Boston to Baltimore. The ensuing investigation of the Gerharsreiter's past involved an abduction plot, murder, and the astonishing ability to sell any lie as truth. The Man in the Rockefeller Suit pulls back the many disguises of Christopher Gerhartsreiter and will make for unbelievable summer reading.
